Trident – The three-pronged spear of Poseidon, god of the seas; Trident Gum is a popular gum. (Note: ‘Tria’ is Greek for ‘three’ and ‘donti’ means ‘tooth’; hence, Trident translates literally as ‘three-teeth’, or ‘triple-toothed’. Trident Gum, if one is to believe the advertising, helps to clean your teeth, thus the allusion.)

Claws Book Review

16-year old Jed thinks life couldnt be any better, with a senior girlfriend (jeds a junior), 1969 Camero and number one tennis player. But a punk girl name Gertrude makes Jeds life come to a stop. She continues to tell him things about his own life that jed doesnt belive.

This is a very good book. It was so good is didnt want to stop reading it. In places of the book your expectations weren’t what happened no matter how bazaar it was. There were twists in every chapter I can think of.

I was not disappointed in this book in any way. It was not what I expected.

Quotation Assignment

MARK TWAIN
Mark twain was the pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens. He was born in Flordia, Missouri on November 30, 1835 and died on April 21,1910. Twain is most famous of the novels Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. He also invented a bed clamp for infants, a new type of steam engine, and a machine that engraved printing plates. Mark Twain said this quote because the kids that were not in school got into trouble. But Twain found Wider sources of information in public libraries than he would have in a conventional school. When Twain said this quote he meant that when a school closes down, students will have no education. With no education most students or adults cannot get some kind of job. So to stay alive they steal or other things that are against the law. So the number of students that were in the school may not fit in the jail the city owns. So a whole new jail may have to be built.
